Delivery Cost And Schedule
UK Mainland (normally 3 to 5 working days)
The cost of delivery for all orders will be displayed in your shopping cart before you are asked to confirm your order and make payment. Orders above a certain value may be supplied with no shipping charge. Occasionally we will have to apply a shipping surcharge to cover the additional costs of delivery to remote areas or for very heavy consignments. In these cases we will contact you prior to shipping your order to advise you of the surcharge and obtain you agreement to the extra costs which you can pay through this website. If you do not accept the additional charge we may decline to accept your order in full or in part and will refund all monies you have already paid in respect of that order or part of that order.
To ensure the safe delivery of your order please provide your phone number and alternative instructions for delivery should no one be available to receive your order. All deliveries must be signed for by customer.
Channel Islands, Republic of Ireland, Canada & North America, and Other EU countries:
A flat rate packing and delivery charge will apply for all orders. This will normally be shown in the shopping cart before you are asked to confirm your order. We reserve the right to make an additional delivery charge for exceptional orders and will contact you in this event to obtain your authorisation before shipping your order.
Our policy is to dispatch where possible on the next day or at most within 3 working days of receipt of order for orders placed before 5.00pm London Time. Special delivery schedules operate over Easter, Christmas and the New Year period.
We ship using the carrier we consider to provide the best way for the type of product ordered.
We aim to deliver goods within 3-5 working days in the UK, 3-10 working days elsewhere, from receipt of order. If we or our agents have made no attempt to deliver within those times you are entitled to a full refund on goods, packaging and shipping costs upon return of the goods in an undamaged, unused state to us.
Some items are very heavy. Our normal delivery charges do not applying to items marked as "Requiring Special Delivery". If you wish to order these items please contact us in advance of placing an order to obtain a shipping price.
Loss in transit. In the case that an order we have shipped to you is lost in transit, we will replace or refund the lost items at your preference, provided you cooperate fully with our efforts to claim for the loss from third parties. This may involve you having to complete forms and/or sign statements of non-receipt of goods.
Returning goods
We reserve the right to decline to refund shipping and packing costs if you return an order for any reason other than that the goods were found to be faulty on receipt or that the goods had been damaged in transit. We may also decline to refund your return shipping and packing costs if you have not contacted us prior to returning the goods to obtain a Return Registration.
Dissatisfied With Goods Supplied
If you are not satisfied with goods supplied, or ordered in error, you can return them within 7 days from the date of despatch. They must have been unused, in their original packaging and in a re-saleable condition.
Faulty Goods
AHC must be notified within 7 days of despatch If the goods are faulty. Damaged goods, or omissions, must be notified on the day of receipt.
Unsuitable Goods
We are happy to offer technical advice but sometimes, as it can be hard to interpret the customer's requirement over the telephone. If, as a consequence, goods are ordered on this advice but subsequently turn out to be wrong, the goods can be returned within 7 days from despatch.
Returning Conditions
We are happy to cover the return costs for faulty goods except that the buyer allows us to use our own carrier.
- The buyer will meet the cost of returning the goods for all other type of returns.
- The buyer will be responsible for the goods until they reach AHC. If you require advice on posting and packaging please contact us.
- We reserve the right to impose a 30% handling charge where we consider it appropriate.
